Julia Felix runs a vibrant workshop in her hometown of Santa Fe. As a young woman, she traveled to Boston to study at the North Bennet Street School’s prestigious Violin Making and Repair program. After graduation, Felix operated a repair shop in Olympia, Washington before returning to Santa Fe to open her own atelier, Felix Violins.

Felix’s instruments bring the craftsmanship of Italy’s Baroque masters to the modern era. She puts her own stamp on Cremonese models, creating instruments with both superior tone and exceptional beauty. Felix’s attention to detail and dedication set her work apart and have made her an up-and-coming luthier to watch.
