Return Policies

Dolce Violins Instrument Return Policies

At Dolce Violins, our mission is to make sure you’re delighted with every instrument, bow or case that you purchase from us. To that end, we strive to make our policies user-friendly and easy to understand. If you have any questions about our return, exchange or shipping policies below, please contact us. 

Customers are responsible for all shipping charges. However, due to our existing relationships with shipping companies, we’re able to email you a discounted return shipping label in advance of your return.  We would need to have a credit card on file to charge to cover the shipping fees. 

14-Day Trial Period

All violins, violas and cellos and bows include a 14-day trial period. If, for any reason, you are not completely satisfied with your instrument or bow, be sure to contact us prior to the end of the 14-day trial period and we’ll issue you a discounted return shipping label (by email), which you can print out and attach to the box prior to shipping back to us.

Remember to inspect your instrument or bow upon receiving your shipment. After receiving your instrument or bow, please inspect it right away for damage that may have occurred during shipping. If you see any signs of damage, please let us know immediately and we’ll make arrangements for the return of your instrument or bow.

Getting Your Refund

Once we receive a returned instrument or bow (within the 14-day Trial Period), we will refund 100% of the purchase price within 14 days from the receipt of the instrument or bow. However, in those cases when a returned instrument or bow is deemed not to be in its original condition and you’ve not reported any damage prior to returning it, we will have to assess the damage and cost of repairs before determining the amount of the refund.

Exchanging Your Instrument or Bow

If you’re interested in a different instrument or bow after returning the original to us, we’ll work with you to find a suitable replacement. This is a collaborative effort and we’ll do everything in our power to make sure you’re happy with the end result.  

In the event you wish to try out (compare) a second instrument or bow BEFORE sending back the original, please contact us for instructions.  

NOTE: You can only return items that have been purchased directly from us. Please ensure that the item you are returning is repackaged with all accompanying components in its original container.
