Based in Israel, Jonathan Hai studied violin making at the prestigious International Violin Making School A. Stradivari in Cremona. There, he studied under master luthiers Giorgio Scholari and Massimo Negroni. Since returning to Israel he established his own violin shop in the artisans’ workshops compound in Kibbutz Ein Carmel. He has won the Gold Medal at the Consorso Nazionale di Luteria in Pisogne, Italy (2007) and the Silver Medal as well as Certificate of Merit for tone at VSA in Cleveland Ohio (2018).
