Full Description

A 15 3/4″ viol with lots of color and depth, and an amazingly large sound. Since this modern viola was played for years it is well played in, and it is in near perfect condition. With a vibrating string length of 365mm this viola is easy to play and could work well for a violist with smaller hands.

Stanley Kiernoziak is a Polish luthier with four decades of experience. He completed his training from the Polish Violin Making School and joined the Polish Union of Artist Violin Makers in 1985. In 1989, Kiernoziak moved to Chicago to join William Harris Lee & Co., where he collaborated closely with William Whedbee and Tetsuo Matsuda.

Kiernoziak’s string instruments have gained international renown. They have graced some of the most prestigious stages in the world, from the New York Philharmonic and the Lyric Opera of Chicago to the Royal Danish Opera. In competition, Kiernoziak’s violins, violas, and cellos have all garnered high praise for their warm tone and refined acoustics. Recently, Kiernoziak won the first-place award for tone at the American Viola Society Festival’s 2022 Exhibition of Modern Violas and Bows. He has also received numerous awards from the Violin Society of America’s international competitions, including the Grand Champion in 2015.
