Made in 2013, this cello follows the model of Joseph Guarneri filius Andreae, reflecting one of the most influential Cremonese traditions of the late 17th and early 18th centuries.

The instrument was made by the American makers Joseph Grubaugh and Sigrun Seifert, partners both in their workshop and in life. Working together for more than forty years, they have developed a highly regarded collaborative approach to violinmaking. Their work has been recognized internationally, including multiple top awards at competitions organized by the Violin Society of America. In 1998, they were awarded the distinction of VSA Hors Concours, placing them among a small group of makers whose work has been recognized at the highest level of the field.
