Founded by cellist/composer Moses Sedler in 2012, Dolce Violins has established itself as a highly respected purveyor of antique and modern violins, violas, cellos and bows – many from internationally acclaimed French and German makers.
The staff at Dolce Violins is always searching for great-sounding instruments in all price ranges. Whether you’re considering an antique instrument or a modern instrument/bow, we draw upon our ongoing relationships with contemporary master makers and our attendance at auctions and private sales to locate an instrument that is suited to your playing, aesthetic and budgetary requirements.
We are proud to represent many notable violin, viola, cello and bow makers, including Andrew Carruthers, Anna Sandys, Polstein and White, Diana Gonzalez, Ute Zahn and Andre Lavoye, among others.

About Moses Sedler, Founder of Dolce Violins
For nearly two decades, Moses Sedler has established himself as a highly acclaimed composer of music for concert stage, modern dance and film. He is also a dynamic and highly skilled concert cellist and recording artist, with credits spanning a wide variety of projects in the classical, world and jazz genres. His background is rooted in classical and improvisational music, with influences as diverse as Indian classical and Eastern European folk music. Moses studied composition at Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle Washington, before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area to study North Indian classical music with Ali Akbar Khan.
