Bernard Ouchard (1925–1979) was a pivotal 20th‑century French archetier from the renowned Ouchard dynasty. Apprenticed at age 13 under his father Émile Auguste in Mirecourt, he later moved to Paris in 1941. In 1949 he joined Geneva’s prestigious Vidoudez workshop, staying until 1971, when he returned to lead the bowmaking school at Mirecourt. He’s credited with reviving classic Tourte‑Peccatte models and is regarded as one of the last great historical French bowmasters .
