A French violin from the Mirecourt workshop of Léon Mortin made in 1919. Léon Mortin took succeeded Albert Cunin, taking over the Vuillaume-Darte and Cunin company, which was founded by Nicolas Vuillaume. Mirecourt was the center of French violin making from the 19th century through the early 20th century.
