James Tubbs is regarded as one of the greatest bow makers to have ever lived. It is believed that, along with his son Alfred, that he made more than 5,000 bows during his lifetime. He is consistently ranked in the top 10 of greatest bow makers in history and his designs have been widely replicated by other well-established firms.
