Louis Joseph Morizot (1874–1957), known as Morizot père, was one of the twentieth century’s most influential French bow makers. Trained under Cuniot-Hury, Bazin, and Sartory, he combined precision and elegance in his work. Establishing his own Paris workshop in 1920, Morizot produced bows for leading shops and trained his five sons, founding a dynasty that shaped modern French bow making.
An excellent example from Louis Joseph Morizot (Morizot pere). A round stick of pernambuco with ebony frog mounted in silver, Parisian eye and solid silver button.
