Dolce Violins

Full Description

Pietro Messori (1870–1952) was an Italian violin maker from Modena and a representative figure of the Emilia–Romagna school. He trained with Giuseppe Sgarbi and later worked for Giuseppe Fiorini in Munich before establishing his own workshop in Modena. Messori built primarily on Stradivari and Guarneri models and used an orange-brown to golden-amber varnish characteristic of the region. His work received recognition at several early 20th-century exhibitions, and his instruments are regarded as solid examples of Modenese craftsmanship.
