Full Description

This fine modern cello bow was crafted by David Russell Young in Longmont, Colorado. A former master guitar maker and author of The Steel-String Guitar: Construction and Repair (1975), Young turned to bow making in the early 1980s and quickly earned recognition for his precise workmanship and well playing bows.

This example features a beautiful octagonal pernambuco stick of reddish-orange hue, mounted in silver and ebony with Parisian-eye.

Young received a Gold Medal from the Violin Society of America in 1988 and other honors in international competitions. His work is represented in major American violin shops and is appreciated by musicians for its quality of materials and refined workmanship.
