Full Description
A 19th century Tyrolean violin with a Stradivarius label. This violin was worked on by Gustav Häussler in 1886 and likely sold through his shop in Krakow in the late 19th century.
Born in 1850 in Lubben Germany and later immigrated to Poland, Gustav Häussler was a luthier who made instruments all modeled after Stradivari, and Stainer. Later in his life he stopped making violins and became known for his exquisite restoration of older instruments.
