Rainer W. Leonhardt is a Mittenwald maker and master craftsman from a long-established instrument-making family with roots in the region dating back several centuries. Trained at the Mittenwald State School and active in the family workshop, he produces violins, violas, cellos, and double basses following traditional Mittenwald construction methods. His instruments are distributed internationally through the Leonhardt workshop and selected dealers.
