Steffen Kuhnla, born in 1961, is a distinguished German master bow maker. After apprenticing with renowned craftsmen such as R. Messing, C.O. Dürrschmidt, and R.H. Leicht, Kuhnla earned his master diploma in 1988. The following year, he established his own workshop, where he has since crafted high-quality bows admired for their precision, tonal qualities, and craftsmanship.

As a respected member of both the Registered Association of German Violin and Bow Makers and the Violin Society of America, Kuhnla continues to contribute to the craft and legacy of bow making.
